SUPORTADO ng National Employees Union ng Department of Education (DepEd-NEU) ang plano ni Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones na balasahin ang Schools Division Superintendent (SDS), Assistant Regional Director (ARD), Regional Director (RD) at iba pang third level positions dito.

Ayon Atty. Domingo Alidon, pangulo ng DepEd-NEU, dapat kada tatlo o limang taon ay binabalasa ang mga opisyal upang maiwasan ang pang-aabuso sa kapangyarihan at korapsyon.

“There’s a saying that: too much familiarity in the office might result to corruption,” pahayag Alidon.

Hinihikayat din ng grupo si Briones na huwag hayaang makialam ang mga local government officials sa internal affairs at operations ng ahensya.

Aniya, malimit nilalapitan ng mga SDS ang mga local chief executives para hilingin na panatilihin sila sa kanilang puwesto.

“We are urging the Secretary and the DepEd management not to allow political intervention in this reshuffling activity. This might not be good in good governance,” pagtatapos Alidon.
